you are
beautiful
Lately I have been watching a lot of ted talks (if you have never heard of them look them up, they are life-changing). I feel as if the main part of these inspiring speeches are mental positivity. This is something that I have been very intrigued by lately, why do we always say " If you put your mind to it" is your mindset that important? I know as young women or even young girl's we have a lot of pressure put on our shoulders, I don't think you have to be gorgeous, I don't think you have to be confident, I don't think that you have to be ANYTHING for ANYONE. I DO think that the right mental attitude, diligence, and consistency can get you anywhere. I think we need to bring back the question that we were asked as a kid's
"What do you wanna be when you grow up?" I think the most beautiful thing in the world is when someone hasn't been affected by the world, they stand next to what they said as a child, and they won't be stopped or shaped by others. The most damaging word in the world is "can't", YOU CAN, so let us go forward with positive minds, remember the only disability you can have is a crushed spirit. "No one in this world can stop the man with the right mental attitude; No one in the world can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." www.ted.com/talks/aimee_mullins_the_opportunity_of_adversity

9/14/2016 0 Comments hello gorgeous This is my first post on my new blog. I am sixteen, and with that age comes the struggle and fight for confidence. This page is made to raise an army of unstoppable, capable, beautiful girls. We need to slow the rushing pressure and realize the unique qualities that each of us have. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. We have different shapes, different passions, different friends, different colors, different families, different smiles, and different struggles. However we can all stand together in saying that we are pushed in a corner by America: Perfection. I am here to say, perfection is diversity.
I pray that we grow together in this journey, that we all create our own confidence. love, Geneva |
